Your team is cordially invited to the 6th Annual Nathan D. Crowell Memorial Hockey Tournament hosted by Greater Providence Youth Hockey Association on March 30-31, 2019 at Brown University’s Meehan Auditorium. This season we plan to host PeeWee A, Squirt A, and Squirt A2/B and Mite A teams.
Nathan D. Crowell was a hockey player that paid the ultimate price to win a game for his team.
On October 25, 2007 with three seconds left in the game, Nathan blocked a desperation shot from a member of the opposing team and saved the game for his team. However, in doing so, Nathan paid the ultimate price. The hero of that game died in the hospital emergency room that night.
The Annual Nathan D. Crowell Tournament honors Nathan's memory.
All teams are guaranteed three games in round-robin play, for the following levels: PeeWee A, Squirt A, Squirt A2/B and Mite A. The top two teams at each level will reach the championship game. All games will be (3) 12 minute periods.
Trophies will be awarded to champions and medals to the runner-up. Teams are encouraged to exchange pins before each round-robin game.
Tournament fee is $1095 per team ($995 if paid in-full before 2/15/18) with a $500 deposit due with registration. Balance due by March 1, 2018.
