2020-21 Travel team tryout registration is now open. Please read carefully information related to tryouts below and in the registration portal, linked below.
There is a $35 fee that must be paid as part of this tryout registration.
Upon the completion of tryouts and posting of roster assignments, players will have 14 days to commit to their roster by registering for the 2020-21 season and to make the initial payment for the 2020-21 season. Registration for the 2020-21 season can be done on the Registration Portal. After 14 days have passed, any roster spots that have not been secured will be considered open, and rosters may be adjusted accordingly
Tryout sessions will be held at both Meehan and Lynch - please note the rink for your age group's try-out sessions.
There will be two tryout sessions for players at each level - skaters must attend both days of tryouts.
To accommodate an anticipated large number of skaters, PeeWee and Bantam level players will be split alphabetically according to the first letter of their last name. For example, 'Bantam A-I' means Bantams with last name beginning with letters A-I.
If your child is unable to attend both days, please send a note to Chris Lambert explaining the issue.
If a player wishes to be evaluated as both a skater and a goalie, please select that option when registering and have your player dress as a goalie for the first session and as a skater for the second.
Midget tryouts will be held in mid-late August.

In light of the present COVID-19 situation, RI Hockey as issued a directive that all RI-based hockey organizations must suspend all hockey operations, including practices and tryouts. In addition, many local rinks have closed their doors due to the virus.
As a consequence, GPYHA will postpone the impending 2020-21 season Travel Team Tryouts scheduled for March. These tryouts will be re-scheduled for a date after RI Hockey lifts their current suspension directive. Midget tryouts will occur in August 2020, as originally planned.
For those that already have registered for either or both events, no need to do anything at this time...your current registration will automatically be maintained for the new dates, when available.
The health and safety of our GPYHA community is our top priority. We encourage all members to adhere to guidelines provided by the CDC and Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
We look forward to sharing more information as it becomes available and hope to welcome back hockey very soon.
