The Providence Jr Bears Bantam White team closed out the 2016 - 2017 season in fine fashion by winning the Laker Tournament in Worcester, Mass on Sunday afternoon. In the Championship Game da boyz would not be denied as they were able to return the favor to King Philip-Walpole with 6 to 0 win and bring the trophy home back to Providence.

After a tough loss on Friday to KPW in which the game needed to be decided by a shootout, the boyz had to pull off 2 straight wins on Saturday. A 5 to 2 win over the Worcester Jr Sharks and then a 4 to 0 shutout over Shrewsbury gave the team an opportunity that they would not let slip by.
