Please make note of the revised tryout dates and times.

Please make note of the revised Travel Team Tryout information below. Some dates have been revised due to the closure of Meehan and we have split PeeWee tryouts into two sessions (by last name initial) to accomodate a larger number of players than initially expected.

Registration for tryouts for GPYHA Travel Teams is now OPEN!  Please visit the Tryout Registration Page HERE for more information and to begin tryout registration.

Tryout sessions start March 28, so please don't wait - register soon!

In order for a player to participate on a travel team, they must attend tryouts for the level that they will be entering next season. For example, this season's Mites with a 2011 birth year will try out for the Squirt level travel teams.

There will be two tryout sessions for players at each level - skaters must attend both days of tryouts. If you are unable to make a tryout session, please contact Chris Lambert.

2020-21 Tryout Schedule

In light of the present COVID-19 situation, RI Hockey as issued a directive that all RI-based hockey organizations must suspend all hockey operations, including practices and tryouts. In addition, many local rinks have closed their doors due to the virus.

As a consequence, GPYHA will postpone the impending 2020-21 season Travel Team Tryouts scheduled for March. These tryouts will be re-scheduled for a date after RI Hockey lifts their current suspension directive. Midget tryouts will occur in August 2020, as originally planned.

For those that already have registered for either or both events, no need to do anything at this time...your current registration will automatically be maintained for the new dates, when available.

The health and safety of our GPYHA community is our top priority. We encourage all members to adhere to guidelines provided by the CDC and Massachusetts Department of Public Health.

We look forward to sharing more information as it becomes available and hope to welcome back hockey very soon.
