This section of the website is dedicated to supporting GPYHA coaches, whether first year coaches or veterans.  

Access to some of the items within may be restricted to GPYHA coaches.  If you are a GPYHA coach and are not able to access these areas, please contact Scott Lindsay.


Steps to Becoming a Coach

There are several steps that must be taken for a coach to be recognized and certified by USA Hockey

Below is a checklist of these steps.  This can be useful for a new coach to get started, but also for more experienced coaches to review periodically to ensure that they are current.

Tournaments

Coaches are responsible for identifying and coordinating participation in non-GPYHA tournaments for their team. Make sure to schedule early, as many fill up fast! Below are some resources that may be helpful to you.
